History
Run by the Associazione Culturale Vortice since 2003, the Fondamenta Nuove Theatre is a wood and brick building accommodating an audience of up to 200. The main theme of the theatre's programme is a reinterpretation of contemporaneity.
Activities and services
The 2006-2007 season proposes a wide range of events, including "Risonanze", a festival of new contemporary music, "Danze d'autunno" a festival of contemporary dance and "Dissezioni", scenes of contemporary theatre.
Location
Situated at the end of the Fondamenta Nuove in one of the most fascinating and least known corners of the north lagoon, the theatre is just a few minutes from the Fondamenta Nove landing stage.
